The chassis is constructed from thick steel and is built to be easy to maintain and repair. The steel chassis of these models are identical to their Winton equivalent in every way, and they are built in the same factory.
The gearbox is durable and operates smoothly. They are very reliable when paired with the smaller compact tractors they are built for.
These hammer flails are mounted in a spiral pattern and are optimised for small tractors to tackle grass, weeds and light brambles.

I’ve used this Flail to cut our 6.5 acres a couple of times now, if I leave it too long between cuts then some parts of the field have a type of grass/reed that will wrap around the flail and stall the mower burning out the belts very quickly - so attention when using is required! – I’ve hit multiple rocks and the mower has coped with these no problem. All in all 4 out of 5, very happy price vs. performance, just wish I got a wider one!
I have only used the flail a handful of times since I bought it but so far it seems to work very well. Having said that, it hasn’t been worked hard so time will tell but so far I think it is a good piece of equipment for a reasonable price.
Brad a great machine. I run it behind a vintage MF35X for maintaining our three paddocks and the road verge. Does exactly what it says on the tin!
Works and is easy to use
