Maintenance
Keep Your Machinery Working Hard Year After Year
Our machinery is built to last, with many machines going strong after decades of use. Regular maintenance is the common factor that links the customers who still use machines bought prior to the millennium.
Make the Most of the Manual
The go-to resource for everything maintenance-related is the product manual. This will be included in paper form when your machine arrives. If you have misplaced it, or would like a digital backup, just get in touch and we'll email you a PDF version. Most product pages on our website feature a link to the manual PDF, too.
Universal Maintenance Tips
Here are some quick catch-all tips to help with general maintenance:
- The #1 tip is to read and follow the manual!
- If your machine has grease nipples, make sure to use them. They will be near moving parts, and near bearings / wheels.
- Check all bolts (and tighten if necessary) before each use of the machine.
- Keep tyres pumped up. Not only will this keep your wheels and bearings in good order, but there will be less stress on your towing vehicle.
- Clean off grass, muck and debris to avoid corrosion.
- Sharpen / replace blades when worn, for a better finish, and less stress on your machine.
- Lastly, reread the manual periodically, and follow all steps.
