There are three standard sizes of tractor PTO (Power Take Off), named Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3. We have included the uncommon Type 0 to help those with tractors built in the 1930s to 1950s, where this size may occasionally make an appearance, especially in the popular Ford N-Series.
The way to tell what PTO your tractor has, is to count the splines and measure the diameter (as outlined in the table above). The most common type of PTO for compact tractors is a Type 1 PTO. The Type 1 PTO has a diameter of 35mm, with 6 splines.
Our machinery is designed to work with a Type 1 PTO for every implement apart from a small few which typically have a minimum horsepower requirement of 70hp or more.
Having a Type 0 PTO output doesn't exclude you from the tractor attachment market. The Type 0 has the same rotational direction and the same RPM as the Type 1, therefore, you can buy a sleeve that converts your Type 0 to a Type 1.
