The Massey Ferguson 50 tractor was produced from 1957 to 1964 with a claimed drawbar horsepower of 34 hp and PTO horsepower of 38 hp. It was available with several engines, including a 2.5L 3-cylinder diesel, a 2.2L 4-cylinder gasoline, and a 2.2L 4-cylinder LP gas. The tractor offered two transmission options: a 6-speed gear and a 12-speed two-speed power shift.
