Tractor Specifications
International Harvester is a historic tractor brand known for pioneering advancements in early tractor design. Founded through a merger in 1902, the company rapidly gained a significant market share with models like the Mogul and Titan. Notable innovations include the introduction of the Farmall in 1924, which revolutionized row-crop farming with its versatile design.
International Harvester's journey began with the merger of the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and the Deering Harvester Company in 1902, aiming to consolidate their strengths in agricultural machinery. With their first tractor hitting the market in 1905, the Mogul and Titan models quickly dominated the U.S. market, making up one-third of national tractor production by 1910. Post-World War I, their 10-20 model became a bestseller, further establishing their reputation. However, it was the introduction of the Farmall series in 1924 that truly set them apart. The Farmall was a tricycle-style row-crop tractor capable of both plowing and precision tasks like cultivating, marking a significant innovation in tractor design. In 1985, International Harvester's agricultural operations merged with J.I. Case Company to form Case IH, continuing the legacy of agricultural equipment manufacturing.
